Anticonvulsant, antiepileptic, sedative for Canines.
This is an association that can treat animals with epileptic seizures, congenital or acquired. Sedative in neurosis, hipersexuality, hyperexcitability. Its administration is only recommended in the appearance of convulsion.
Seizure disorders appear to be hereditary in certain breeds.
The highest rates in males than in females suggest a genetic hypothesis involving two locations, an autosomal recessive gene and a gene linked to sex. We observed a high incidence Cocker Spaniels.
Treatment should be directed to relieve the symptoms.
Na Difenilhidantoinate is a highly selective central depressant which acts in epilepsy by inhibiting the spread of brain charge from the cerebral seizure focus – brainstem – to the rest of the brain regions. Its mechanism is the stabilization of the cell membrane against stimuli emanating from the epileptic focus.
Its association with Diazepam, with its powerful muscle relaxant and sedative action, enables treating the animal effectively.

Indications / Uses:
Epileptic seizures congenital or acquired. Sedative in neurosis, hypersexuality, hyperexcitability, etc.
Administration and dosage:
Administrate orally.
1 tablet every 10 kg of weight. Treatment frequency is given by the veterinarian, according to requirements of the animal. Then you must adjust the required dose (elevating or decreasing) as maintenance to prevent the occurrence of seizures.
Contraindications / Precautions:
Fenotyazinics derivates use should be avoided as them significantly reduce the seizure threshold.
Presentation:
Box with blister containing 18 tablets.
Keep between 5 and 35 degrees c.
Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
Psychotropic medication.
Keep out of the reach of children.
