No fetal or uterine toxicity. Of choice for caesarean sections and for animals in shock.<br \/>\nIt can be used in combination with other anesthetics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Administration and dosage:<\/strong><br \/>\nAdministered intravenously produce general anesthesia within 60 seconds and lasts 5 to 10 minutes.<br \/>\nCanines and Felines: 7.0 to 10.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nSwine: 5.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nCattle: 5.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nOvine: 3.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nEquines: 3.0 to 5.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nPrimates: 1.0 to 5.0 mg per kg.<\/p>\n<p>Intramuscularly lasts 30 minutes. During anesthesia can be increased muscle tone and hyperflexia.<br \/>\nCanines and Felines: 15.0 to 25.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nSwine: 15.0 to 20.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nBovine: 15.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nOvine: 10.0 to 20.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nEquines: 15.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nPrimates: 5.0 to 15.0 mg per kg.<br \/>\nBirds: 10.0 to 20.0 mg per kg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contraindications \/ Precautions:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen overdose occurs there may be respiratory depression, treatment is mechanical ventilation instead of using analeptic agents.<br \/>\nDo not use in patients with heart failure or a history of stroke.
