Prolonged use of dexamethasone can result in lens opacity (cataract), increased intraocular pressure in susceptible patients and secondary infections.
\nThe owners of the animals should be instructed to properly handle the peak of the bottle avoiding contact with the eye and adjacent structures or any other surface. Animal owners should be informed that the inappropriate handling of the bottle can contaminate causing eye infections. The use of contaminated products may cause serious eye damage.<\/p>\n
ADVERSE REACTIONS<\/strong>
\nAdverse reactions have been reported rarely occur with drugs that associate a steroid and an anti-infective agent, which can be attributed to the steroid component, the anti-infective component, or the combination of both.
