Palatable Paste for Canines and Felines
Formula | Every 100 g contains:
Solid vaseline ………… 8 g
Benzoic Acid …………… 0.250 g
Soy Lecithin ……………. 5 g
Excipients q.s. ………… 100 g
Indications / Uses:
Mild laxative, intestinal lubricant, preventive formation of hair bolus.
Administration and dosage:
As healing:
Felines (hair bolus formation, constipation) 1/2-1 teaspoon (2-5 gr.) total 1-2 times per day until remission of symptoms.
As a preventive:
Felines: 1/4-1/2 teaspoon (1-3 g) total 2-3 times a week.
Canines: 1/2-1 teaspoon 2-3 times a week.
Doses may be administered without being coincident with food, placing the product on the back of the hand of the animal and thanks to its exquisite taste the animal will lick it.
Contraindications / Precautions:
Avoid prolonged use because it can interfere with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and cause irritation of the anus. It should not be administered in case of volvulus, gastric or intestinal twists, paralytic ileus and intestinal obstructions. Do not use in less than 60 days old animals. It can be administered safely in pregnant or lactating females.
